Bad Touch Music Video Remake Analysis.

Filming:
When filming our remake of the first minute of the music video for "Bad Touch" by The Bloodhound Gang we all found that we didn't plan the shoot particularly well, therefore causing some loss of time, despite our use of story boarding, we made time up, by working very well as a group, and found that the shots that we  wished to shoot would usually be complete on the 1st or 3rd time. This has taught me the fact that when we shoot our own music video we will need to be far better prepared, and we will need to scrutinize everyone of our shots we choose to shoot, and also to story board and plan out the shoot much more efficiently so we will  have more time to actually shoot instead of it taking a long time to set up each shot.
The actors of the film despite feeling nervous and rather embarrassed by some of the things that we had to do and despite the odd laugh or two throughout the shoot we worked remarkably well together. An issue that the cameramen and women found was that holding the camera without a tripod was harder than they thought, and something that we will all have to consider when shooting our own music videos, especially some of the ones with quite complex camera techniques and shots that they are thinking of using.  We also found the fact that some people on some days were ill, and therefore made it hard to allocate roles to people which again is something that we will have to take into consideration when filming our music video.

Editing:
The editing i found personally a nightmare. It was the most time consuming part of the whole project, it took around 8-9 hours just to finish off one minute of film, which made it rather intimidating considering that we would have to film a music video that spans around 3-4 minutes of film. I also found that i possibly didn't allocate myself enough time, which i defiantly will be sure to do when editing my own video. another factor that made the editing a drag was the fact that the program we used "Adobe Premiere Pro" kept unexpectedly shutting down therefore causing loss of work, although this annoyed nearly the entire class with hours of work being lost, it also taught us an invaluable lesson to save your work every so often, which became routine for us to do.
Using "Adobe Premiere Pro" i found taught me many tools i would later need to use when editing our video, such as how to speed up time which was very useful, as some of the action we shot was too slow for the lip synchs. We also learnt how to cut, move, resize, reverse. flip shot, crop them and also slow them down.

Conclusion:
Although it was very time consuming to do both the shooting and the editing, i think this can be remedied by planning more effectively and to have my actors and location all planned out and available to shoot and also select a certain time and date to do it like a real shoot. I also think that his task taught us valuable lessons and skills to consider and used when making our own music video.
